Being “Responsible” is one of our core PRIDE Principles and we are proud to support activities that help the local community and other causes our team cares about.
Great Ormond Street Hospital
The hospital’s charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity is the largest charitable funder of medical research dedicated to paediatrics in the UK. The Charity is currently funding more than 70 research projects in G.O.S.H. and the ICH.
Since opening in 1852 the hospital has relied on charitable support. The day to day running of the hospital is funding by the NHS – BUT the ‘Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’ aims to raise £50 million each year to keep pushing forward and advancing in medicinal developments. Also allowing the hospital to remain at the fore front of child healthcare, purchasing up-to-date equipment, providing accommodation for the families of sick children and hospital staff AND substantially supporting research into rare childhood diseases.
Essex Wildlife Trust
The Essex Wildlife Trust is a charity that is focused on the preservation of wild environment and wildlife. Run largely by volunteers, the Trust is part of a network of other similar charitable enterprises across the UK known as The Wildlife Trusts.
As a charity the Essex Wildlife Trust relies on donations from visitors and members, and runs a corporate membership scheme so that organisations such as ours can do their bit. Not only are we Silver Members of the Corporate Membership Scheme, but one of our employees is a regular volunteer with the Hanningfield Reservoir site. The Hanningfield Reservoir site is known for hosting thousands of Pipistrelle Bats each year and making vast strides in the protection of the species. More: www.essexwt.org.uk
Save the Children
“Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In the UK and around the world, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. We do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.”
Instead of sending wine or chocolates for Christmas 2017, we supported Save the Children by donating on behalf of our clients. More: www.savethechildren.org.uk
